Our interview this week is with Melissa who owns paperartzi in Victoria. this store has a little of everything you love. need a great top and fabulous shoes for a night out with the girls? got it.... unique and beautiful invitations for a party? yep got it... kid clothes... homewares... our chalk labels...This is the little store with the lot. How long has your business been running?
We are now in our 5th year… Our business has very much grown with us over that time and has taken a few different twists and turns!
We moved our store front premises in November 2008 into the gorgeous heritage part of Echuca which we LOVE!
Can you describe your average day/ LOL my average day is not so average, it is all a little crazy! It is a mad juggling act and I find myself throwing many hats on my head many times a day!
I start by organising my house and getting my children ready each day, school & kinder lunches….. normal family chaos each morning.
The taxi ride begins dropping them to all the different spots they need to go. Amarli is with me most of the time other than a day with Nan and a day with my niece.
Amarli and I visit our store after dropping Tilly and Tighe off, meet with my girls (I have three staff members), follow up anything needing to here.
Then most of my day is a mixture of work (mostly in front of my laptop, house stuff, making and answering a million phone calls.
I have many trips to Melbourne so these are thrown in the mix
Very hard to describe a usual day as there is no such thing in my life.
My husband has a domestic and commercial plumbing and gasfitting business which I am an active part on also so this is thrown in the mix of my day
What is your favourite part of paperartzi ? Buying all the gorgeous things
Meeting some amazing people in business and getting totally inspired
I love my website (about to be RELAUNCHED in march – I could spend hours on our site, working on it to make it a wonderful experience for our customers and hopefully bringing them the experience online that our bricks and mortar customers get to enjoy. We are so excited about bringing you the Brand Spanking new website in (fingers crossed) ONE months time.
Your least favourite task? I would have to say bookwork and BAS!
